Welcome everyone to Booker T. Washington Academy where there is "No Choice but Success"
Farm to School Initiative Expanded to Booker T. Washington Primary
Last year the Fayette County Farm to School began to introduce more local food in Fayette County Public Schools. We started with one pilot program at Lansdowne Elementary. This year, our Farm to School initiative has expanded to include Booker T. Washington Primary among others. At Booker T. Washington Primary we are offering local foods during snack. In fact, your child may have tried watermelon grown in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Your student can look forward to more local snacks soon. Be sure to visit our Farm to School booth at your next PTA event.
We encourage families to get involved in their children's education. One way is through volunteering; before you can volunteer in any school, you must first fill out a volunteer application.
REMINDER: Parents of car riding students: Please remember that students are dismissed at 2:35 p.m. and should be picked up at this time. Thank you!
